Autumn it is.
No, our cameras, even the newest ones, still only see about a 6 stop range while our eyes see clsoe to double that. Still, you did very well. I like the sleective focus and the colors say it’s autumn.
Try making an HDR from one image using a tool like Photomatix to increase the range or braket exposures and composite them (true HDR).
